Dream of Hornet’s Nest

Hornets

Dream began standing in front (about 30ft back from front) of an older home in appearance from the 1960-70’s era.  The house was a bit run down, but looked from the distance it was livable.  With me was an unknown male figure.  We both began to walk towards the front door, the man spoke and said, “this is as far as I go.”  I replied, “Why?”  His response, “Because I am tired of getting stung when I get too close.”  I looked a little closer to the door, and the upper right corner of the porch roof, above the door there was a small hornets nest, but more importantly was above the door, is an exhaust fan.

This fan was moving slowly, but it was encased heavily with what seemed like thousands of hornets.  I asked the man. “how many times he has been stung and why hasn’t an exterminator been called?”  He looked at me like in a semi-trance state of consciousness and said. “I have lost count, but 60 times more, I am tired of being stung and attached every time I try to enter the house.”  I asked again, “Why not get an exterminator?”  He said, “I don’t know.”  His reply was almost as though he was medicated or drugged.  The dream ended with me gazing at the larger hornets’ nest, wondering why it was allowed to fester so long without extermination.
