It is awesome to awake from a dream and be able to remember it with explicit detail, sometime with even all five senses. However is there a way to more ready or better understand what just transpired? Was the dream from God, Myself, or Satan? In this brief article, we will explore some of thoughts.
One of the hardest things to question is if a dream or vision is a production of one’s mind or a gift from God. While ultimately, only the receiver can really truly know this for him or herself, there are a few items to think upon, but still keep in mind, it is yours to decide.
Likely from God if:
- Not typically nightmares, some exception where sin is being exposed however.
- Don’t feel fear or isolation
- Five senses in place: Sight, Touch, Smell, Hear, & Taste
- Dream is sequential, not out of order.
- Self-aware that you are in a dream, but seems exceptionally real.
- Self-aware, however the reality of the dream is greater than the concept of you are really dreaming.
- Being in dream such as angel that acknowledges the God in all three forms, Father, Son, & Holy Ghost.
- A knowing when you awake, that you just had an experience more so over than a dream.
Likely from the Enemy if:
- Nightmare/Night Terror
- Extremely real, unable to wake oneself up from any fear in the dream
- Outright demonic presence in the dream
- Awaken to fear, cold sweat, like somebody is still looking at you where you lay.
- Sin driven, doing acts in your dream, that you yourself would not do in reality, super imposed actions making you feel as though you did it out of self will.
- Being exposing itself as a messenger of darkness
Keep in mind, whether a dream is inspired heavenly, demonically, or even just your own thoughts you have a comforter that is always awaiting to talk to you about it. He is the Holy Ghost.
