Runes & Curses

Darkness

Author: Ryan Hutzel

Finding myself being forced to look down at a small wooden table, maybe two-foot square with a rectangular wooden box carved out in a square pattern.  Box was maybe one inch wide by six to eight inches long. In the box was compartments sectioned off with marble looking square stones with unrecognizable symbols on them.  The stones also known as runes in witchcraft practices, had symbols that filled most of the rune square shape.  There were multiple colors, some of the runes seemed to have multi-colors within themselves.  I believe there was a six total in number, possibly seven.  I didn’t look at them long enough to count them.

My head was being held from behind, gripped with palm resting on my neck, thumb on the right, and index figure pressing against my skull pressing me to look down at the table.   This was the persons left hand, while the other bony frail right hand was sharply and aggressively pointing down at the runes.  While I could not turn to see the person, I saw a black robe cloaked down the right arm and near my head.  For at this moment is when she began to talk in a very angry fashion.

“Look, look, why will not look and obey!” exclaiming in a very hard tone in a feminine voice.

“I don’t understand why you don’t listen, why you don’t follow orders!” She was yelling this in my right ear, almost like a child that wasn’t getting her way, throwing a tantrum.  She was very distraught and furious in the sound of her voice.  The voice sounded like a middle age common female voice, nothing raspy or distinct.

I tried to turn towards her, but she had a solid grip, my body wouldn’t move, but I had full control of my voice, I spoke this loud and bold, “I don’t have to look, nor do I have to take your commands, now get off of me in Jesus name!”

Her bony hand released and as I began to try to look toward her the dream ended abruptly, I awoke from my sleep feeling physically exhausted, it was about 4 am.
